Prepare for goosebumps as you read this young lady’s story about wanting more out of life. She wanted more for herself.
I absolutely love this girl and have loved witnessing her become more empowered and confident week over week.
She started with one small step, but has always had a much bigger vision for what she wanted for herself and consistently works towards that vision every single day.
Each week she takes on something a little more outside of her comfort zone – whether it be signing up for a new 5k race, completing a Bay View Boot Camp Weekly Challenge, or trying a more advanced exercise at boot camp. Unparalleled follow-through to say the least.
I give to you the hilarious, beautiful, and dedicated Hannah King!
Before boot camp, I was very sedentary. I sat at my desk for 9 hours, five days a week, and then sat at home watching t.v the rest of the time. I didn’t ever work out and ate very poorly.
I was unhappy and wanting more for myself, but not willing to change or struggle to get there.
My friend’s favorite number is 13 and she elected to make 2013 the best year ever. I realized I could do the same with 2014. I came across one of Laura’s many emails at the right time and joined the 2014 Re-Invent Yourself 28-Day Transformation Challenge. I realized the only way to succeed was to fully commit and I signed up for the full year. After that, I set goals for races and other improvements to my life.
What do I love most about my new lifestyle?
I now love shopping!!! I used to always hate it and never felt attractive. Now even though I have not yet reached my target weight, I go to the store and find dresses that make me feel beautiful and shoes that make me want to dance. I have really embraced a new style and am loving my body in ways I never had.
What accomplishments am I proud of?
To date, I have run two 5k races, both without stopping to walk. It has been so thrilling to set a goal and watch myself reach it.. and then continue to surprise myself. With every new day, I come up with a new challenge I want to try.
What are my results on making this life change?
I really enjoy being an active person and having friends and family compliment me on all my changes. I have also felt more confident to go out and start meeting people. I hope this will lead to a new relationship soon.
What’s my motto for others in a similar situation?
My best advice: you have no idea what you are capable of until you try… then, once you set out to do something, do it. Believe in yourself and don’t give up. Never ever give up.
Please congratulate and recognize Hannah for her accomplishments and sharing her story.
She shared this with you to inspire YOU that anything is possible with continued effort and trusting the process.
